๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ฌ in general are when the intestine becomes displaced through a hole itโ€™s not supposed to go through. These can occur in many different locations! Today weโ€™re going to talk about ๐๐ข๐š๐ฉ๐ก๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ฌ specifically, which is where the intestines become displaced through a hole in the diaphragm.

๐๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ is inflammation of the ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ž๐ฎ๐ฆ, which is the lining of the abdomen. Peritonitis is characterized by large clumps or mats of ๐Ÿ๐ข๐›๐ซ๐ข๐ง, one of the bodyโ€™s main clotting proteins, that are trying to โ€œwall offโ€ the source of inflammation to try and prevent it from spreading elsewhere in the abdomen. Unfortunately, fibrin is often not very good at controlling the source, and the peritonitis becomes ๐๐ข๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž throughout the whole abdomen.
