Ferrets

Question
A 9‑month‑old ferret is examined for diarrhea, coughing, and decreased activity. On physical examination, the ferret is febrile and dehydrated, with conjunctivitis and nasal discharge. The skin of the chin and footpads appears thickened and rough on palpation. Neurologic status is normal at presentation.
