A dairy farmer brings you a recently freshened cow whose milk production seems to have dropped in the last day or so. She has also noticed that this cow doesn’t seem to be visiting the feed bunk that often.

Physical Exam
Daisy is BAR on presentation, and in good body condition. Her heart rate is 65bpm with no abnormal sounds noted. Her respiratory rate is 15bpm with no abnormal sounds. Her temperature is 38.0ºC (100.4ºF). Her rumen is contracting once in 2 minutes, and the contractions are not very strong.
