Case 13: Sneak

A client brings you his pet ferret Sneak. He says that Sneak has become increasingly aggressive and has started losing hair around his tail. He became particularly concerned when Sneak started crying while urinating!

Sneak is BAR on presentation. He has mild alopecia around the base of his tail and on his rump. His respiratory rate is 35bpm with no abnormal sounds. His heart rate is over 200bpm with no abnormal sounds noted. His temperature is 40ºC (104ºF). His bladder is somewhat large on abdominal palpation.
